Ethiopia has indicated interest to partner with the Katsina State Government by investing in the state’s agriculture, tourism and business sectors.
The Ethiopian Ambassador to Nigeria, Samia Zakaria, disclosed this on Tuesday when she paid a courtesy call on Gov. Aminu Masari in his office in Katsina.
Mrs Zakaria said she was in the state to hold talks with the governor and his officials on how to boost those sectors to enhance socio-economic activities in the two countries.
“The Ethiopian and Katsina State economies rely heavily on agriculture, business and tourism sectors. We are ready to join hands with Katsina to boost these sectors of the economy,’’ she said.
The ambassador said Ethiopia and Nigeria had a long history of bilateral cooperation, which they needed to maintain.
