Stock Exchange’s Management Suspends Section of its Rules

Notice of Suspension of Article 88(B)(4)(B) of The Rules and Regulations Governing Dealing Members
Monday, December 14, 2015

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, Article 88(b)(4)(B) of the Rules and Regulations Governing Dealing Members (Amendments and Additions, Part I) titled “Trade Types” which became effective upon the Securities and Exchange Commission’s approval on 22 November 2013, is hereby suspended until further notice.

The decision to suspend is aimed at averting a situation in which a market participant is able to employ the Whole or None (WON) Special Fill functionality in a manipulative fashion by exploiting our market structure. The suspension is aimed at ensuring that the best-priced order(s) are given due priority in trades’ execution by The Exchange’s X-Gen trading platform without undermining other Fill Priorities.
