Financial IQ Announces Open Chess Championship for Kids

Financial IQ, an entrepreneurship advocacy and support brand, has announced the launch of its maiden Open Chess Championship for nursery and primary school kids.

Supported by Littlebridge (Nig) Limited, the event, which will take place at Kaizen House School, Magodo, on November 2, 2013, attracts a registration fee of ₦2,000.

Shola Olaleye, the National Coordinator of Financial IQ, said, “Every kid participating at the event will go home with various prizes and exciting experience.” The first to fourth winners will get ₦100,000, ₦50,000, ₦25,000 and ₦10,000, respectively.

Mr. Olaleye said that the event is being organised because Chess improves schoolwork and grades, promotes imagination and creativity, inspires self-motivation, develops memory and logical thinking, as well as improves concentration.
